CLOWNS or JESTERS or JUGGLERS or MIMES
with Yo-Yos Contest!
Saturday, April 19, 2008
at the 13th ANNUAL YO-YO CONVENTION & TOY CELEBRATION
Don’t laugh just yet, but clowns, jesters, jugglers and mime performers are invited to participate in a contest at this fun & famous mid-west Yo-Yo Convention & Toy Celebration if they include at least one yo-yo in their act. The use of yo-yos can be serious or totally silly, or even just as a fun prop. The yo-yo can even play just a minor role in the act. Contestants must be in full costume and perform 1 to 3 minutes for a family audience with some yo-yo fun. Real yo-yoing and real yo-yos are not even required. Just show us a yo-yo at least once in your bit!
Amateurs, professionals, youth, or adults may enter. Up to 3 prizes may be awarded based on costume/appearance, audience applause and laughter, stage presence, inclusion of 1 or more yo-yos, uniqueness, and good-clean fun for a family audience. Performers must be pre-approved to perform, plus provide all their own props and music if needed, and be in costume. No fire, no confetti, no water, no guns of any kind are allowed. This is a family-friendly event and all acts must fit this atmosphere.
